Situated on one of the most picturesque stretches of the River, the Goring Thames Sailing Club (GTSC) is ideally equipped to provide interesting and varied sailing for all ages and abilities. Safe unrestricted sailing is possible over several miles of the river on the Cleeve and Moulsford reaches. The more adventurous, with a little patience, can navigate the locks and bridges to Reading and Wallingford.
Facilities
There are two slipways for dinghy launching with a winch to assist the hauling out of the heavier boats. The clubhouse faces the river and the main clubroom has large picture windows and french doors looking out over the water and the Thames Valley. Catering facilities are available in the members' kitchen. There is also the Hornby building that incorporates the Club changing rooms with hot and cold showers and lavatories, a spacious sail loft and the Club rescue boat store with associated equipment. Disabled access and toilet facilities were added in 1996.
