The event usually takes place on a Friday evening in the early part of December. The photographs are from Christmas 2007 and show some typical scenes of the event.
In the Arcade, the High Street and elsewhere in the village your favourite shops offer mulled wine, mince pies and many other refreshments. One of the highlights in 2007 was a Hog Roast in the Arcade with pork rolls for sale. Carol singers are on the scene to set the Christmas mood, and inspire your Christmas charity!
Children make a beeline to find Santa and his Post Box, whilst other attractions for children are also provided such as a bran tub and a "best festive pet photo" competition.
Shopping can be done at leisure because no-one is closing early. People take their time to look around and the selection available from our range of local shops in all price ranges is extensive. Most shops and stores do something extra special on the night to help you resolve your Christmas present problems.
It certainly is a full evening - and a jolly one!
A similar event will be held again this coming Christmas. Details will be announced nearer the event. So come and join in the fun and shop comfortably without the hassle of travelling or difficult parking, at the same time supporting your local trades.
